Artistic representation - Some would say the title & style is setup for a overtone charactarised by beauty, maybe even romantic, but actually the title is just how it reads & is drawn out of great respect for what Kate has been through - having been through a similar situation, I beg that everyone support each other through moments of great pain - there are no levels in grief, we should all grow up as human beings, because honestly sometimes, gotta say it - we are wimps & we run away from those that just require friendship! So message to all...be stronger & support instead of ridicule!!!
This piece is being gifted to Kate Beckinsale, but I'm going to re-draw the same piece & a collection is going to be built. The prodeeds of all drawings with Kate Beckinsale included will be going to
a charity of choice.
My personal story - 8 years ago I lost my Dad to cancer & in 1994 I lost my older sister to an Asthma attack, both of these moments re-wrote the way I dealt with things & probably re-wired the way I deal with certain situations, it didn't make me less normal, but it made me more humble & when faced with grief, early on every emotion was heightened!It's a truelly daunting moment in time, a time when time means nothing! This is where a support system is needed, & that system could be just a slice of inspiration without the patronising add-on, which is so prevalent during grief! After my Dad died, somebody very close to me challenged my artistic capabilities in a positive manner, so I put all my grief & fed it into a new passion - art! Which is what everyone is seeing now, art has given me something to look forward to everytime I wake & the beautiful thing is my sister was an amazing artist before she tragedly died at the age of 16, so some of my journey is for her - that's part of my personal journey into grief & how it's this joint effort of grief automatically re-writing destiny & yourself (with a little help from friends), changing the land to find the best version of yourself.
