I am incredibly proud to say I am now officially a Guild Certified Framer!

I passed my exam yesterday after quite an intense year. I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the scholarship winners through the last year so I have spent months studying, preparing and scrutinising every detail.

I have had the absolute honour of being trained by Jo and Alec I honestly cannot thank them both enough for all their training, help, advice and support. They have both been amazing throughout this whole journey but especially to Jo who was my examiner. My nerves got the better of me at times but Jo was somehow able to keep me calm and enabled me to show that I am skilled enough to hold the GCF qualification. Jo, you are a true inspiration to the world of framing and an aspiration of how I would like my future career to be. Thank you.

Without this sounding too much like an acceptance speech, I cannot finish this without saying a massive thank you to my entire family but especially my Dad. Thank you so much for believing that I could do this and supporting me when my ink lines were 0.5mm out!

Look! It’s me! I’m so proud and excited to share the news that I have won, alongside Amy, a Scholarship to become a Guild Certified Framer!
Awarded by and sponsored by Amy and I get to be trained by Jo and Alec Palmer and also Ian Kenny three of the most well respected and knowledgeable people in the framing industry.
I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity and would like to thank everyone involved in the decision making. Having spoken to a few other Larson Juhl scholars, I know how invaluable this training and qualification will be to me personally and also The Framing Gallery as a business

Just a little one for today! This gorgeous print was simply mounted and framed as it speaks for itself!

So very proud to show this off! The Framing Gallery is officially a member of
As a small business (there’s only two of us framing!) in a rural town, to be accepted into the Guild is an honour.
Of course I had to have a play with a suitably different mount to draw attention to it! A wide V Groove showing metallic gold under the black. Bringing in the circle of the Guild Seal on the corners and adding a cut out detail. All framed in the beautiful Dresden moulding from
