Fife Heritage Railway Fife Heritage Railway restores steam and diesel locomotives providing open days and train rides to the public on selected days. We are a registered charity.

Num: SC 020254. Established in 1992, the Kingdom of Fife Railway Preservation Society is a registered charity which is run entirely by unpaid volunteers. Our aim is to preserve Fife’s railway heritage. We own a 21 acre former railway marshaling yard and have constructed half a mile of track plus substantial sidings. Our restoration work is conducted in the “Colin Munro” shed which is well equipped with engineering machinery and work space. As a heritage railway, we are open to visitors on selected days and provide trips along the line pulled by one of our restored locomotives. We always welcome people wanting to get involved, be it rebuilding locomotives, providing refreshments or even joining as a non-working member, everyone is welcome!

Thanks to all those at Kirkland Yard today for helping make Wendy Chamberlain’s visit a success. Our MP was very impressed with what she saw and delighted to meet some of our volunteers. Wendy was accompanied by Eugene Clarke, Councillor for Leven, Kennoway and Largo, who was equally impressed and appreciative of the visit.

As always, October brings Halloween and Halloween brings the Fife Heritage Railway 'Trains of Terror'.

Join us on a very important train trip to track down a number of ghosts that have escaped from a nearby haunted house and for this you will be greatly rewarded.

Online booking is now available for this event at £8 per person. This is a family friendly event that will include goodie bags.
We encourage you to dress up appropriately for this spooktacular event! 🙀👻💀🎃
