🎤 It was great to welcome Hits Radio Lincolnshire to the Museum today. Reporter Cara chatted to Robin Wheeldon, the Lincolnshire artist behind our exhibition 'Beneath Big Skies'.

🎨 The exhibition presents more than 40 of Robin's beautiful oil paintings, capturing the heart and soul of the county’s rural life and proud engineering heritage.

If you're yet to see these amazing works up close, they are on display until Sunday 31 May 2026. We look forward to welcoming you. 😊

We are open every Friday to Tuesday, from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free.

Bikes have come a long way since the Penny Farthing!

The most advanced bicycles will be used during the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix and the Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive this weekend but why not take a visit to our Transport Gallery and discover how it all began.

You’ll see a Penny Farthing, a Hobby Horse (very early pedal-less bicycle), a 1980s Lincoln made Centurion bicycle, Butlins ‘social’ bikes, a single and a tandem, and a mid-20th century child’s tricycle. Amongst a host of other treasures celebrating life in Lincolnshire from 1750.

🎥 Catch us tonight on The One Show! 🤩

It was brilliant to welcome Vernon Kay and The One Show team to the Museum recently.

Vernon saw Daphne the Mark IV tank up close and chatted to Richard Pullen from the Lincoln Tank Group about the city’s important role as the birthplace of the tank and what it would have been like for the brave soldiers who fought in them on the First World War battlefields.

Tune in to The One Show on Wednesday 6 May to watch the full feature.
