Our rich and varied social history collection reflects and celebrates the culture and heritage of Lincolnshire and its people. Exhibits illustrate commercial, domestic, military, agricultural, industrial and community life. The Museum is home to an authentic World War One tank named “Daphne”, we also house the interactive galleries of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment. The Museum always has a Childr

en’s Museum Trail available to keep younger visitors amused and looking closely at our collection. There are seasonal alternatives at Easter, Christmas and during the Summer Holiday. Please ask at reception when you arrive and staff will be happy to explain how to become a History Hunter! With so much to see, the Museum is an ideal location for your group to visit and take a trip down memory lane. Self guided visits are free but for a small charge we can arrange a guided tour with one of our knowledgeable members of staff. Our gift shop sells unusual gifts and toys, period postcards and a wide range of heritage books. We have a wide range of preloved books for sale in our boardroom. Admission is FREE*

Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful Morris dancers who came along and performed here today! 💃🕺 What a fantastic atmosphere and we couldn’t have asked for a better sunny day! It was lovely to see all our visitors enjoying the celebrations. 😊

🐉🧚‍♀️ What a magical day at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life! ✨

Yesterday children and families joined us to search for dragons and fairies hidden around the museum, listen to enchanting stories told by our story keeper, and get creative in our craft room! 🎨

Our young visitors created their very own dragon masks, crowns and mermaids, while also getting the chance to see our historic printing press in action thanks to one of our fantastic volunteers.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so special! 💜
