St Seraphim's Trust - Orthodox Chapel, Quiet Garden, Icon & Railway Museum

St Seraphim's Trust - Orthodox Chapel, Quiet Garden, Icon & Railway Museum Former Walsingham railway station housing a
Pilgrim Chapel, Railway Heritage display, Icon Museum, and Quiet Garden. It is registered as a Quiet Garden.

Saint Seraphim's Trust is a registered charity that seeks to keep Saint Seraphim's Orthodox Chapel open for all pilgrims and visitors to Walsingham, as a place of worship and contemplation. We are proud to also host a fully accredited Railway Heritage and Icon Museum. Both the chapel and museum are small but full of interest. The trust also aims to continue the tradition of painting icons in the t

raditional style in Walsingham. The Brotherhood of Saint Seraphim kept the tradition of iconography in Walsingham until the death of Leon Liddament in 2010. The garden has been thoughtfully landscaped and planted as a fully accessible community garden. The chapel and Quiet Garden are open daily from 9am until 5pm. (dusk in winter) To visit the museum and gallery please contact us in advance to arrange a time.

In a couple of weeks I’m delighted to be part of the 2026 exhibition ‘The Light of the World’ at Salthouse Church from June 10-17th. It is my first year joining this wonderful group of artists, and I’m thankful to be able to share my work, both older pieces, and some fresh out of the studio here at St Seraphim’s.
