Join archaeologist Philippa Jones MA tomorrow evening for Human Remains in Archaeology, exploring how the study of skeletons can uncover fascinating stories of health, diet, work, disease and burial practices!

You'll also have the chance to come face-to-face with our own 5,500 year old resident skeleton, the Lady of the Little Orme, after dark! 💀

​Living and working in Snowdonia, Josie is deeply influenced by the beauty of the natural world.

She works primarily by up-cycling used fabrics to create one-of-a-kind textile art depicting breathtaking landscapes, buildings, and animal portraits.

🏛️ Tomorrow is your last chance to enjoy FREE entry to Llandudno Museum & Gallery as part of Cadw Open Doors!

Join us for a day of history, discovery and family fun!🥳

We're delighted to welcome Phil, an expert in Welsh slate mining, who will be demonstrating traditional slate splitting, just as the miners once did. Demonstrations throughout the day, between 11am-3pm!

Pictured: Quarrymen splitting slate at Dinorwig Quarry around 1910. Come along tomorrow to see this traditional Welsh craft brought to life!

🎨 There's plenty for families to enjoy, including children's crafts, scavenger hunts and short whistle-stop tours of our Roman and World War galleries.

And at 2pm, join our very own Tim Parnham for a wonderful guided tour of Victorian Llandudno and discover the fascinating history of our seaside town.

Victorian Llandudno Tour: £5 per adult, with all accompanying under 18s FREE!

📅 Sunday 27 September | 10am–4pm (last entry 3:15pm).

Museum admission, slate splitting demonstrations, scavenger hunts and whistle-stop tours are completely FREE. Children's crafts have an optional suggested donation of £3 to help cover materials.

Come rain or shine, there's plenty to discover!

Sunday 27 September | 10am–4pm Last entry: 3:15pm

Explore our six permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions, Railways of North Wales and 100 Years of Dresses, and enjoy:

• Family crafts • Artefact handling • Whistle-stop museum tours • Guided walking tours • Live slate-splitting demonstrations (Sunday only)

GUIDED WALKING TOURS | 2PM BOTH DAYS

Adults: £8 Under 18s: FREE with an accompanying adult.

FREE MUSEUM ENTRY | No booking required

Family crafts have a suggested donation of £3 per person.

Exciting News! 🏺

We are thrilled to be associated with the Centenary Exhibition of the 1926 dig at the Roman Fort of Canovium. It's hard to believe it's been a hundred years since this groundbreaking work!

Llandudno Museum & Gallery holds the artefacts from the original Canovium (aka Kanovium) excavation, many of which are on display.

Our very own experts, the Collections Team, will be at this event with some Roman artefacts and handling collection to show visitors!

Join us in celebrating this milestone at the historic St. Mary's Church in Caerhun.

Explore the site of the fort, view special displays, and connect with our local heritage.

We really appreciate the support and are so pleased you enjoyed the exhibition.

Created in collaboration with Prom Ally, with two dresses kindly loaned by the Home Front Museum, the exhibition explores a century of changing fashions through a beautiful collection of dresses and accessories.

If you haven't had a chance to visit yet, there's still time! By popular demand, 100 Years of Dresses has been extended until 1 November.
