Saturday 20th January 1912, Mrs Pankhurst, journeyed from Carmarthen to Llanelli to address the people of the town about the right for women to vote. A change in the law which did not pass until 1928. We have an exciting opportunity to hear about that night and a re-enactment from local actor Alison Saunders who will be performing at Llanelly House on 24th and 25th July. The play has been written using historical extracts from local newspapers and the powerful words of Emmeline Pankhurst herself.
