Tickets are on sale for The Music is Black: A British Story, opening at the brand new V&A East Museum in Stratford on Saturday 18 April 2026.
Celebrating 125 years of Black music making in Britain, this multisensory exhibition spans four continents and explores the profound impact of Black artistry on British music, culture and beyond.
Expect iconic objects and images including Winifred Atwell’s piano, fashion worn by Little Simz, Seal, Dame Shirley Bassey and Skin, plus newly acquired photographs of Kemistry and Storm, Mis Tee q, Jammer and crew, and more.
Weekdays £22.50 and weekends £24.50 including donation. Discounts available for students and concessions. Advance booking recommended.
