‘Out of the box’, an online exhibition by Nicholas Turner, opens 10 June.

This collection brings together works developed from paintings made outdoors using pochade boxes, some of which Turner has used for over thirty years. These direct encounters with the landscape form the starting point for his studio practice, where impressions are reworked and refined over time.

‘most ideas have their beginnings in these outdoor experiences. They more often than not influence my time spent in the studio’. -

This time last year we visited Rosie Sanders' beautiful Devon studio. Rosie is one of the UK’s most distinctive and celebrated painters of flowers. 🌷🌻🪻

Her work is bold, expressive, and unlike anything else in botanical painting. We were lucky to spend time in Rosie's beautiful garden, the place where so many of her extraordinary watercolours begin.

With Rosie's forthcoming show, Magnolias opening in June, the timing couldn’t be better to look back at these photos and celebrate the power of flowers, on paper and in the garden.

📆 Rosie Sanders | Magnolias | 24 June - 1 August 2026

The Chelsea Flower Show opened this week 🌷🌺🌻

We are so excited to present a first painting from our Rosie Sanders' forthcoming exhibition, Magnolias.

Internationally recognised for her striking and unconventional approach to botanical painting, Sanders moves beyond documentation. Her work uses bold colour, light, and close observation to create images that feel immediate and expressive, capturing the vitality of the natural world in full scale.

Several of Rosie's paintings are currently in the new exhibition at Kew in the Shirley Sherwood gallery The Shirley Sherwood Collection.

Shown here: Magnolia Galaxy I, Watercolour on Fabriano Artistico paper, 77 × 57.5 cm (30.31 × 22.64 ins)

Now open: Le temps présent et le temps passé.

In this new exhibition, Geneviève Daël brings together a group of interiors that feel both familiar and just out of reach.

They’re calm, but not empty. Still, but never static.

Come and spend some time with them, they reveal more the longer you look.

Le temps présent et le temps passé by Geneviève Daël, now on view at the gallery.

There’s a quiet clarity to these works. Rooms pared back to their essentials, light doing most of the work, and figures that seem entirely at ease in their own space.

Nothing feels staged, yet everything is carefully held.

Light moves slowly through these interiors. Figures sit in stillness, turned away, absorbed. Nothing is fixed, and nothing is rushed.

A thoughtful, quietly immersive exhibition, do come and see it if you can.

Geneviève Daël: Le temps présent et le temps passé opens at the gallery tomorrow.

In this new body of work, Daël deepens her exploration of interior space, creating paintings in which time is experienced not as something passing, but as something layered, reflected, and quietly sustained.

Restrained compositions, silent rooms, solitary figures, and diffused light, will draw you into an atmosphere of stillness, where past and present appear to coexist.
