Curated by Timothy Holt and Jess White, 'Tomorrow' at The Gallery in Redchurch Street, London is an ambitious exhibition featuring new and recent work by eight inspirational artists who use objects in the fabrication of their practices. Comprising of Holly Hendry, Ru
ssell Hill, Timothy Holt, Phil Illingworth, Catriona Robertson and Alice Steffen, these establishing practitioners overcome current economic conditions to foresee a long tradition, from Duchamp and others, studying the importance of meaning towards industrially made artworks. Set to mirror the historical values from the Young British Artist era in the late 1980’s, this multi-disciplinary exhibition will bring artists’ consideration on chance connections finely into focus. Text by artist Poppy Whatmore will accompany the exhibition. Monday to Saturday, 12.00 — 17.00

Holly Hendry:
Holly Hendry was born in England (1990) and currently lives and works in London. She graduated from BA Fine Art at The Slade School of Fine Art in 2013. Recent exhibitions include The Woon Foundation Prize for Painting and Sculpture, Gallery North, Newcastle Upon Tyne (2013); Research Laboratory, Camden Arts Centre, London (2012); Airspace, The Waterfront Gallery, Ipswich (2012); The Fragmented Figure, Rockefeller Building, London (2011) and Scribbles & Murmurs, The Rag Factory, London (2010). In 2013 she won the Woon Tai Jee Art Fellowship, funded by art collector Wee Teng Woon and hosted by Northumbria University. She will use the earned bursary to fund her fellowship at the BxNU Institute for Contemporary Art at Baltic Arts Centre, Gateshead for the coming academic year. Russell Hill:
Russell Hill was born in England (1988) and currently lives and works in London. He graduated from BA Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Art in 2010. Recent exhibitions include Confined, NEST, The Hague (2012); Tryouts, Great Brampton House, Hereford (2012); Likeable, Supercollider Contemporary Art Projects, Blackpool (2012); Expansive Mood, Mansion House, London (2011); Connection Point, Bermondsey Project Space, London (2011) and Anticipation, Selfridges Oxford Street, London (2010). In 2010 he was selected for Anticipation, curated by Kay Saatchi and Catriona Warren, and featured in The Catlin Guide subsequently wining the Catlin Art Prize in 2011. He is presently doing his Masters at the Royal College of Art and is due to graduate in 2014. Timothy Holt:
Timothy Holt was born in England (1988) and currently lives and works in Guildford. He graduated BA Fine Art at University for the Creative Arts, Farnham in 2011. His recent exhibitions include Festival of Contemporary Visions, Multiverso, Florence (2013); Què On Quan (What Where When), "untitled"BCN, Barcelona (2013); Young Artists Incubator, Factory-Art Gallery, Berlin (2012); Interesting Times, Vibe Gallery, London (2011); Situated Encounters, Bargehouse, London (2011) and Space Cadets, Blyth Gallery, London (2010). His work is held in private collections across Europe and America. Phil Illingworth:
Phil Illingworth was born in England (1955) and currently lives and works in England and France. Recent exhibitions include North South Divine, WW Gallery, London (2012); Say what you see, Aspex, Portsmouth (2012); Salon 2011, Matt Roberts Arts, London (2011); ARC, Aspex, Portsmouth (2011); Travelling Light, WW Gallery, London (2011) and Travelling Light, Venice Biennale, Venice (2011). In 2010 he was selected for exhibition in John Moores, the UK's most prestigious painting prize and shortlisted for both Marmite Prize and Jerwood Drawing Prize, judged by Kate Brindley, Michael Craig-Martin and Charlotte Mullins in 2013. Catriona Robertson:
Catriona Robertson was born in England (1987) and currently lives and works in London. She graduated from BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2010. Recent exhibitions include Incidental Hazard, Arcane Gallery, London (2013); IllumiTate, Tanks at Tate Modern, London (2012); Bridges, FOLD Gallery, London (2012); Transient, Freies Museum, Berlin (2012) and Vanishing Point, Elevator Gallery, London (2010). She was a member of youth program Raw Canvas at Tate Collective at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, organising events and peer-led workshops. She is presently working as a Fine Art Technician at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. In association with the exhibition, Catriona Robertson will be joined by Technical Assistant Jamie Kendall. Jamie Kendall was born in England (1988) and currently lives and works in London. He graduated from BA Animation at University for the Creative Arts, Farnham in 2011. Technical Assistant to Catriona Robertson, he is presently doing his Masters at the Royal College of Art and is due to graduate in 2015. Eugénie Scrase:
Eugénie Scrase was born in France (1989) and currently lives and works in London. She graduated from BA Fine Art at The Slade School of Fine Art in 2012. Recent exhibitions include ‘Conceal/Reveal’, Curran Studios, London (2012); ‘Off the Beaten Track’, Studio Voltaire, London (2011); ‘Newspeak: British Art Now (Part 2)’, State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg (2010); ‘Newspeak: British Art Now (Part 1)’, Saatchi Gallery, London (2010) and ‘Company Property’, Sassoon Gallery, London (2010). She participated and won BBC television series School of Saatchi in 2009 with her work being objective to audiences. Alice Steffen:
Alice Steffen was born in England (1989) and currently lives and works in London. She graduated from BA Fine Art at The Glasgow School of Art in 2011 and attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009. Recent exhibitions include I Kissed an Essex Girl and I Liked It, The Vic, Glasgow (2011); House for an Art Lover, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow (2010); Eyebrow Says Relax, Barnes Building, Glasgow (2010); Cast Shadows, East Carolina University, Greenville (2010) and Fake, Creeden Warehouse, Chicago (2009). In 2010 she assisted artists Gabriel Bizen Akagawa and John Lamonica. She was part of the casting and fabrication team for the sculptures on the prow of the Queens Jubilee barge in 2012, led by Alan Lamb, Head of Historic Carving at the City and Guilds of London Art School.
