Perpetiel Coaching

Perpetiel Coaching Perpetiel is the angel of success and we're here to help you and your business be successful. So to get something different, you have to DO something different.

Perpetiel Ltd is a husband and wife team set-up after the birth of our first child to allow us to work more flexibly. Perpetiel is the angel of success and, although a little corny, the services we offer deliver success for you, your team or your business. Henry Ford said "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got." That’s not always easy, but that’s where

a coach comes in…

A coach acts as a catalyst helping you to get from where you are now to where you want to be more easily and quicker than if you were to do it alone. Coaching is the relationship between us, the support, activities and discussions. It is not counselling or therapy, although many people find it very freeing and of course it is entirely confidential. Coaches use a varied toolkit of knowledge, experience and methods to help you achieve your goal. I will not judge or criticise.I will be your partner in success, I will question and challenge you, I will give you space to explore options and transform yourself and I will motivate and inspire you.

Coaching Concepts - What's the difference between coaching and counselling / therapy

I've had a few people ask this recently so thought I'd share the answer...

Both help people improve their lives but generally:

Coaching is future focused and helps people move forward, achieve goals, build confidence, improve performance or make positive change. A coach works in partnership with the client, using models, asking questions & reflecting back to find answers and a way forward.

Counselling / Therapy usually focuses on the past, healing emotional wounds and trauma to address dysfunction, mental illness or deep emotional pain. The therapist is seen as the expert providing guidance and clinical tools based upon psychoanalysis and clinical evaluation.

If someone comes to me for coaching and I think they need counselling/therapy I will refer them on.

When you're healed, coming for coaching is an amazing way to find your way forward in your new world.

Last week was Mental Health Week and social media was flooded with people sharing their stories about the importance of looking after our mental health and tips from people about how to maintain or improve your mental health.

✨ Did it help you?
✨ What changes have you made that resulted in a difference to you?

Sometimes a post is all you need but more often than not you need more; you need something that's bespoke to you, that will really help you because it fits your lifestyle and individual circumstances, personality etc.

Coaching can really make a difference; it can help you explore, gain insights, become unstuck and find the best way forward for you. It is not counselling or therapy but it is very freeing, entirely confidential and gives you private space to explore so that you can get to where you want to be. It is also probably more affordable than you think.

If you'd like to have a chat about whether coaching is the right thing for you just reach out on this platform 💬 or email [email protected].

Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to speak about Calming The Chaos at The Hampstead Women's Group.

Such welcoming and interesting women, covering a wide age range, with a mix of careers and ways of working.

I spoke for around 45 minutes on:
✨ Some keywords
✨ Bit of science
✨ 10 strategies to help calm the chaos - for each I posed coaching questions to help them figure out if it was right for them, and how they could incorporate it into their lives.
✨ Activity so everyone left with next steps for them.

There was lots of great discussion, sharing and questions.

Until they feel ready.

Are you ready for change but feel something is holding you back?

Sometimes people come for coaching knowing where they want to go but feeling blocked or held back without knowing why.

Others do emotional work, heal wounds & then ask "ok, now what...?"

If this sounds familiar, you're not broken you might just be missing the bridge between healing and forward movement.

Release and Move Forward is a collaborative journey guided by 2 experienced practitioners bringing different skill sets to support you with care, clarity and compassion.

Together we help you clear what no longer serves you and build a clear path ahead.

Been a while since I shared the calendar from Action for Happiness but felt it was really appropriate following some conversations I've had this week.

Meaningful moments and having a sense of meaning in life can contribute to our wellbeing and happiness.

Let me know what you think and if you're going to have a go at this...

"I had a dream..."

Those were a client's first words to me. Let's call her Moira. In the dream she was meeting a business colleague in a café. She had her usual small handbag and laptop bag with her, plus an extra gym bag (and she felt really pleased with herself for making the effort).
The meeting went well and Moira recalls feeling happy in the dream. But on leaving, her colleague asked her to take some extra things back to the office. As Moira approached them, the things seemed to multiply. She started to panic; piling things up, tucking items under her arm, trying to squeeze things into her bag. Anxiety rose as she realised the time and that she had a meeting to get back for.
What should she do? Make multiple trips? Say no to the colleague (who had conveniently disappeared)? Leave some things behind? Ask the café owner for help?
Then she woke up.

In our session, when I asked what she'd like to focus on, she said: "It's time I sort my life out. I need to feel back in control - and I think I might be perimenopausal."

My reply? "Well, you're in the right place."
For many women, perimenopause can quietly erode that sense of control, and it often shows up in exactly this kind of overwhelm before the dots are connected.

We went on to split the session into three areas:
✨ Understanding where she was and where she wanted to be - what did feeling in control actually mean to her?
✨ Achieving some early wins - in an hour we couldn't fix everything, but we put a couple of things in place and agreed to return to others.
✨ Perimenopause - an open conversation about what she was experiencing, what she'd tried so far, and some next steps to explore.

She left feeling calmer and hopeful.

Does any of this sound familiar? If you're ready to feel more in control, I'd love to help — feel free to reach out 💬

We watched Crime 101 as a family at the weekend - rare to find one that works for everyone these days!

There's a scene where Halle Berry's character applies liquid concealer using her fingers to blend.
My daughter was aghast... and then equally aghast when I said that's how I do it too. Apparently the correct way is with a damp beauty blender.
No way is that happening for me; I'm not going back to the bathroom, I don't want a spongey thing lying around to dry, and I'm perfectly happy with my results.

BUT if I wasn't happy, or if there was an easy place to keep it? I'd be open to trying...
That's often how change works, the motivation needs to matter enough, and the action needs to be easy enough to fit your life.

Is there a change you've been sitting on? Here are some coaching Qs to help:
✨ What's your motivation?
✨ How can you make that motivation feel big enough to matter?
✨ What action could you take?
✨ How can you make that action easy enough to actually happen?

If you'd like to talk it through or work towards lasting change, reach out 💬
