In celebration of International woman’s day, I would like to express admiration & appreciation of Tracey Emin’s retrospective at The Tate Modern, ‘ A second life’ which opened last week. She is exemplary in showing women how to have the courage of their conviction, her dedication to painting and the young female artists she inspires & mentors is incomparable! Her honesty is raw but compelling and her journey to become a great international artist is changing the female art platform. Thank you Tracey Emin for making noise & creating powerful, harrowing & spiritual work which moves us.

Tracey Emin
A second life

I visited Tracey Emin’s exhibition ‘A Second Life’ for the Sotheby’s Tour this week. The show was very emotional, provocative , evocative and jarring. But there was a very a spiritual feeling to the show, not only in the sculptures but also in the paintings. Nonetheless the raw paint is still there.

Just returning from Hong Kong where we had our Chinese New Year exhibition at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Zeng Chuanxing’s work exemplifies the skill & mystique of contemporary Chinese artists, coupled with academic competence & originality. Looking forward to our booth at Art Central during Art Basel & Hong Kong Arts week at the end of March. Incredible line up & exciting events planned such as our collaboration with The British Consulate, ‘The best of Modern British & Contemporary’ featuring David Hockney, Tracey Emin , Pip Todd-Warmoth etc .

We love curating the Heathrow VIP suite art collection, and greatly enjoy hearing feedback on our ever-changing artwork on show. The Russell Young and Terry O'Neil Icons exhibition has been thoroughly enjoyed by recent visitors, and I'm sure by many more to come.

It’s the last 2 days of the London Art Fair and Tanya Baxter Contemporary would love to welcome you to our stand to view our collection of works by leading modern and contemporary artists, including Bridget Riley, John Hoyland and Tracey Emin.

A couple of highlights featured in our video: Bridget Riley’s seminal 1965 “La Lune de Rondage”, with the rich, pure visual vocabulary and optical illusion she is celebrated for—particularly coveted in her black-and-white works. We’re also showing a John Hoyland from 1971 with an unusually subdued, gentle palette, admired for its texture and subtlety alongside bursts of energy across the canvas.

One of our most distinguished collaborations with Taylor Howes, Landino, and Tanya Baxter Contemporary, Rutland Gardens in Knightsbridge, stands as a testament to how exceptional design and expertly curated art can exist in perfect harmony.

The residence features a contemporary art collection of rare depth and sophistication, encompassing globally recognised masters such as Pablo Picasso, Victor Pasmore, Adrian Heath, and Ian Davenport, alongside celebrated contemporary talents including South African artist Vanessa Berlein and dynamic emerging painter Jesse Grylls. Each work has been selected not only for its individual merit but also for how it enhances the architectural flow, light, and ambience of the interiors. The collection reflects a shared commitment to art that is both discerning and accessibly priced, appealing to seasoned collectors and first-time buyers alike.

Curated by Tanya Baxter Contemporary, the artworks are united by an aesthetic of modern bold lines, an interplay of cubist form with clean contemporary structure, and a confident use of colour that brings energy and character to each room. Every space is anchored by a focal piece — from the quiet sophistication of a Pasmore abstract to the fluid vibrancy of a Davenport pour, or the richly layered, narrative canvases of Berlein and Grylls.

Taylor Howes is renowned for their timeless yet contemporary interiors, blending elegance with personality, while Landino brings exceptional craftsmanship and bespoke finishes that ensure every detail is executed to perfection. In such a setting, each work of art finds its fullest expression — becoming not just a visual highlight but an integral part of the space’s identity.

Art has the power to elevate interiors beyond aesthetics. It infuses rooms with narrative, depth, and gravitas, transforming them into environments of enduring style and cultural value. At Rutland Gardens, the synergy between world-class design and Tanya Baxter Contemporary’s curatorial vision creates interiors that inspire, captivate, and leave a lasting impression.
