For Arts Sake For Arts Sake is a family-run business that’s been championing contemporary art and handcrafted framing since 1978

Eastablished in 1978, For Arts Sake has forged a reputation as one of the country's leading printmaking galleries. We showcase limited edition artworks by For Arts Sake gallery sells prints and ceramics by established printmakers and ceramicists based in Britain. All our works are contemporary and our limited editions showcase a wide range of styles and techniques, such as etchings, silkscreens, l

inocuts and lithographs. We were established over 30 years ago and have shops in Ealing and Hendon. Our Ealing gallery is re-hung every month, with our main display window featuring two or three of our artists. We display a large selection of works mounted and wrapped in cellophane. These are presented in browsers and many of them are made to fit our readymade frame sizes. Welcome to the gorgeous world of Georgia Elliott - a contemporary British painter whose expressive landscapes are bursting with energy, colour and rich texture.

Working en plein air or from memory, Georgia allows each painting to evolve intuitively. Using acrylic, oils and oil sticks, she builds layered, gestural compositions.

“I enjoy working in the landscape, woodlands and gardens. At first it can feel quiet and calm, but once I start painting I notice it’s not quiet at all. It’s alive with movement, sound, energy and life. I aim to translate this feeling, to evoke the essence of place rather than an exact likeness.”
