Learn how to use the calligraphy brush and ink to create Japanese words to write on the fan. Decorate with colourful paper and Japanese coloured calligraphy pens to make your own fan. A white fan, calligraphy pen and ink, coloured pen and decorated papers are provided.

When distinguished Anglo-Canadian poet Paul Sutherland dropped into the gallery today to pick up copies of his latest books, published by Hammond House, he couldn't resist sending a 'Postcard from Louth' to his oldest friend in Canada. 'Only Words' and 'Engaging with Tennyson' will be officially launched at the Hammond House Heritage Fair on the 19th September in Grimsby Minster. Paul is also performing in a Litfest 26 poetry reading on the theme of climate change at the Bistro-Bar and Cafe (Queen Street Market Rasen), tomorrow ( Friday) at 7.00 pm. Pop into the gallery on Saturday to create and send your own Postcard from Louth.
