What an amazing week at The Aurrie Mor. We hosted Keep Scotland Beautiful 'Introduction to Community Climate Action' discussing adaptations and mitigations to help address climate change. We welcomed members of Largo Communities Together, Largo Area Community Council, Fife Coast & Countryside Trust, Friends of Largo Bay. We also held our weekly Community Triptych group, working on a textile project celebrating Largo Bay. Last but not least we had an appreciative audience for Pete Morton - Sailor Swift - 400 Years of Song. Monies raised through ticket sales and donations went to PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Su***de.

If it hadn't been for pipe organ virtuoso and all round organ enthusiast Robin Bell our very fine pipe organ probably wouldn't have been saved from a landfill fate! So glad we still have this as part of the building's heritage ... and it sounds great.

Documentary that follows the enthusiasts battling to save Britain's pipe organs.

We had a couple of great winter events here ... while they went well we are aware that The Aurrie Mor does get a little chilly in winter. :-)

So during these long cold months we are on a mission to upgrade the heating; installing IR heaters, improving airflow and insulation.

While this building is never going to compete with the near-by Largo Castaway Sauna for sweating toastie-ness we are confident that we are on track to making it more comfortable for all types of events in the "cooler months" ... watch this space!

Wishing all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

We have very much enjoyed seeing The Aurrie Mor come to life over the past few months and want to thank all who have contributed to its story so far.

The two events in December, the Aurrie Mor Christmas Fair and the Christmas Concert were joyous occasions and as we sign off for 2025, we send much appreciation and gratitude to all who made them possible.

See you soon!
