🎼Handel’s Messiah at Brownlow Castle 🎼

An Evening of Elegance and Music

Date: 5th June 2025
Location: Brownlow Castle Ballroom
Tickets: £35pp (Afternoon Tea and Performance)

Join us for a truely special evening at Brownlow Castle as we present a performance of Handel’s Messiah by the TU Dublin Conservatoire Choral and Orchestral Society. Set within the grandeur of our historic ballroom, this event offers a unique blend of classical music and fine dining.

Guests will enjoy a traditional afternoon tea from 5:00 pm in our elegant dining room before moving to the ballroom for a captivating performance by the 50-strong ensemble, celebrating the Lurgan connection to William Brownlow, who famously played the harpsichord on the opening night of Messiah in Dublin in 1742.

For those unable to join us on this date, the same exceptional performance will also be held on the 6th of June 2025 at the Craigavon Civic Centre, offering an alternative way to experience this musical masterpiece. Tickets for this date are £15pp.

Reserve your place now for an unforgettable evening of music and history."

Proud to be supporting
AA Veterans Support

The Ancre Somme Association Charity are delighted that Brownlow Castle has given us permission to put a AA Veterans Support collecting box in their very popular Tea Room.

AA Veterans Support, established in 2011, is dedicated to providing assistance, guidance, and support to those who currently serve or have served in the British Armed Forces and their families in Northern Ireland.

David Martin (General Manager) Brownlow House said, "The Ancre Somme Association Charity, of which I am the Honorary President, approached me regarding helping AA Veterans Support. I did not have to be asked twice."

"AAVS do fantastic work in Northern Ireland helping our brave service personnel and their families. The charity have also been invited to our WW2 Fun Day this Saturday, 23rd September, and I have no doubt the charities efforts will be appreciated by all those who attend our fun day."

The Ancre Somme Association Charity would like to take this opportunity to thank David, and all the staff in Brownlow Castle, for their continued support.
