Every August I take part in the Uplyme Church Charity Art Festival. This year I thought I’d embrace my love of outdoor sketching, so I popped along to sit in the graveyard one sunny Wednesday morning. Swipe along to see: the initial A5 sketch done in situ, all my A3 sketches taped to my studio wall - drawn back in my studio referencing the original sketch, and my chosen 3 pieces to frame for the exhibition. Pop along if you’re local - on till Saturday pm. There are so many fantastic paintings in the show as well as lots of prints and cards by local artists!

Work in progress … I’m working on these simultaneously, but jumping in and out of colours I’m feeling like making at the time, so I never know which painting is going to be worked on until I decide on the colour combination that fires me up at the time. These are all sub-layers of course, so the end result is still somewhat of a mystery.

First week of our exhibition at for Delia and me and it’s going very well with friends popping in already. Do come along and have an arty-feel morning and a cuppa in the cafe. Other artists have work up too, so lots to see.
