"The Art Abandonment Community is a group of artists and creatives from around the world who leave handmade items in random locations to be found by others to enjoy.
It's a simple concept:
The artist creates a piece and then abandons their work anywhere in the world for a unsuspecting person to discover, leaving a message with the creation encouraging the lucky finder to take a picture and post it on the Facebook group describing where it was found.
So we encourage you to create something for the joy of making it, and then leave it for a random person to find.
You can leave your art in a park, in the countryside, at the beach, on a shelf at the library, a park bench, a table at a coffee shop or anywhere a stranger might stumble upon it.
It's a great way to connect with other Art Abandoneers and enjoy the value of sharing your art with others.
