⚽ The world's biggest football tournament is underway, bringing nations together through sport once again.

But did you know? The World Cup was suspended for 12 years during the Second World War, with the tournaments planned for 1942 and 1946 cancelled as countries focused on a far more important battle.

For over a decade, football's greatest stage fell silent while millions served, sacrificed and endured on the Home Front and front lines across the globe.

As fans gather to celebrate the beautiful game today, it's worth remembering a time when the world came together for a very different reason.

We were delighted to welcome the Allied Mobility Group Conference to Eden Camp this week!

As part of their visit, attendees had the opportunity to showcase a fantastic range of wheelchair accessible vehicles, highlighting the innovation and dedication that helps make travel and independence more accessible for everyone.

It was wonderful to see our historic site hosting an event focused on inclusion, accessibility and improving mobility for people across the UK.
