As we’ve been clearing, sorting and rediscovering pieces from the studio, we’ve come across so many powerful reminders of what we’ve built together. 🎨✨

Each artwork holds a story — workshops filled with laughter, first exhibitions for emerging artists, community projects that brought neighbours together, and bold creative experiments that gave people space to express themselves.

Over the years, Global Arts Manchester has supported artists at every stage, created platforms for underrepresented voices, and worked across communities to make creativity accessible, collaborative, and meaningful. From hands-on craft sessions to large-scale exhibitions, the heart of our work has always been people.

Manchester thrives on culture. It thrives on shared spaces where ideas grow, where talent is nurtured, and where communities feel seen. The artworks we’re rediscovering remind us just how much creative energy this city holds — and how vital it is to keep investing in it.

This is not an ending. It’s a continuation.
A moment to honour the journey so far — and to build what comes next.

Thank you to every artist, participant, partner and supporter who has been part of this story. The work continues. 💛

A Kinder Conversation with the GMSC Network ✨
Flower-making with reminded us how creativity grows through our hands — each flower taking shape from patience, colour and imagination.

Through collage with .mcr , we explored symbols, thoughts and feelings that surface when we layer them together.

Wonderful Nigerian food .s_cuisine , gentle conversation and shared creativity shaped such a nourishing atmosphere. Supported with care by Chloe Cousins at Manchester Museum . 🌼

✨ Rooted in experience, led by women, shaped by vision.

At Global Arts Manchester, we’ve built a space where visual women artists can create, lead, and be truly seen. From our 2022 exhibition to our new studios and workshops (2023–2025), we’ve continued to grow a fair, safe, and inspiring environment where creativity feels accessible — and where lived experience leads the way. 🌿

Through incredible collaborations and the support of our funders, we’ve nurtured a culture of listening, reflection, and artistic freedom — championing women whose creativity transforms their communities.

As we move into 2026, we’re excited to keep growing — connecting lived experience, imagination, and collaboration to shape what comes next. Our recent partnership with .mcr , and the Global Roots Canvas project marks the beginning of a new chapter — where Global Arts Manchester continues to evolve as an incubator for artists, ideas, and global connections. 🎨💫

✨ Art grows where women gather.
Around the table, creativity becomes connection — ideas turn into exhibitions, and community becomes art.

🎨 When women come together to create, the world expands.
At Global Arts Manchester, we celebrate global voices, nurture creativity, and transform spaces into stories of strength, culture, and collaboration.

💫 Together, we make art that moves the world.

P.S photos from our plannings for our exhibition in 2022 and excited to share more about our upcoming projects 2025 🤩

Children filled the space with laughter as they transformed simple stones into works of art — a beautiful reminder of how powerful DIY creativity can be. From crafts to drawings, every piece carried a story of expression and joy. 🌈🎨

Seeing the smiles on their faces and the pride in their artwork was truly a blessing. 💛 We’re proud to create moments where creativity becomes a celebration for everyone.

A huge thank you to and .a.s for making this day so special!
