AIR Gallery Contemporary art organisation specialising in pop up exhibitions for emerging and early career artists in the North West.

The gallery has a structured exhibition programme which will include annual open exhibitions, outreach programmes and opportunities for existing local artists and art groups. By hosting regular exhibitions, we hope to increase the awareness and education of the arts in the local area. The gallery spaces is also available to hire for meetings, projects and exhibitions. This week, we are delighted to welcome Coventry-based artist ANDI (she/her) as she begins her residency in our Artists’ Studio.

ANDI creates highly detailed figurative paintings that reflect on q***r and trans experiences and involve models from the trans community. Over the next twelve weeks, she will develop a new body of work here at the Gallery, working at a larger scale and pushing her practice into new territory.

The residency also involves a year-long programme of creative coaching led by Ceri Hand — an international Arts and Business coach who supports extraordinary creatives around the world.

We are grateful to Birmingham-based collector Clive Beardsmore for his generous support of this award.
