🐾 A creative night out for you and your dog!

Fancy trying something a bit different? Join us at Mansfield Museum for Paint, Paws & Mansfield, where you can get creative with your canine companion.

Using a historic watercolour of Mansfield by Albert Buxton as your starting point, you’ll recreate a view of the town from the late 1800s, with one special addition – your own dog! 🎨

Whether you’re a budding artist or haven’t picked up a paintbrush in years, this is all about having fun and creating something unique together.

📅 Tuesday 17 November
🕕 Doors open at 6pm, activity runs 6.30–8pm

What a fantastic start to our Urban Sketching programme! 🎨

Yesterday, artist Sam Edwards led a creative day of watercolour painting in Mansfield Market Place, with participants capturing the Town Hall and surrounding area.

Here's what they had to say:

“Sam is a kind and generous teacher, sharing his skills and gently guiding me to improve.”

“Great care has been taken to make these sessions welcoming and accessible, with a good back up plan in the event of the weather not playing ball.”

We’ve launched our new Adopt a Piece of History scheme, giving you the chance to choose a special object from Mansfield Museum’s collection and help us care for it and share its story for future generations.

With adoptions starting from just £15, there are three levels to choose from, each with its own special benefits.

Whether you’re adopting for yourself, looking for a unique gift, or simply have a favourite object at the Museum, it’s a chance to make a special connection with a piece of Mansfield’s history.

Looking for a magical festive treat for your little ones?

Beanbag Proms: The Night Before Christmas is now on sale at Mansfield Museum!

Join The Limelight Orchestra, in association with Theatre Royal & Concert Hall Nottingham, for a fun and interactive musical adventure bringing The Night Before Christmas to life through live orchestral music and festive favourites. 🎻🎺🎶

Created especially for children aged 7 and under, little ones can enjoy the performance and even get up close to the instruments and have a go themselves afterwards!
