Serena Gwynn is posting for our current theme of taking a look at things close up and seeing the detail.

‘Even if a piece of work hasn’t turned out quite the way I wanted, Raku glazes are always rewarding if you take a closer look. Checking out the all the random marks, colours and crazing is always exciting!’

All our artists at Marazion Gallery are super talented so, if you are nearby, do pop in and give our gallery a close up inspection!

This week our theme in the gallery close up. Sometimes we don’t always see details until we look closer.

It’s amazing what you can find when you look close up….

It’s very easy to walk past without noticing, but our theme is encouraging us to see all the details around us. Here are a few boaty details from , all photographs are from Cornish harbours and beaches.

Some of our artists are taking part in Cornwall Open Studios over the next couple of weeks, so do check them out - their studios are well worth visiting.james2

Where is your happy place? I am very lucky to live very close to the dunes and beach, often it’s where my ideas come from while watching and listening to the sea.

The theme for this week is ‘Artist’s Own favourites’ - I am really enjoying working with brass at the moment - it’s warm and vibrant for this time of year I think…
Our little gallery is open every day except Saturday at the moment and is full of lovely locally made gifts 🎁!
