Menai Heritage We are a community project to celebrate our two world famous bridges across the Menai Strait Our posting on the page began in November 2014.

Menai Heritage is a community project exploring the history of the world-famous bridges spanning the Menai Strait as well as the local area. Our exhibition and collection of artefacts, housed in a restored church hall (the Thomas Telford Centre, across from Waitrose in Menai Bridge), has been fully accredited as a museum. We have also recently restored a Victorian warehouse (Prince's Pier) on the waterfront, which will be the future permanent home of our museum. The current hall will continue in its additional function as an active centre for community activities and group and school workshops. For previous posts see our old page:

We hosted our first Autumn Lecture yesterday evening, presented by John Cole talking about his new book ‘Menai Bridge, Eighth Wonder of the World’.
We also welcomed David Mills who unveiled his scale model of the Bridge. Great to see a full house here at the Centre.
Our Next Autumn Lecture:
Wednesday, 7th October at 7.00pm: presented by Professor Colin Jago:
Geodiversity on our doorstep: What makes Anglesey a UNESCO Global Geopark?

Cynhaliwyd ein darlith cyntaf o Raglen yr Hydref yma neithiwr. Cyflwyniad gan John Cole am ei llyfr newydd, ‘Menai Bridge, Eighth Wonder of the World’.
Hefyd, croesawyd David Mills i’n plith i ddatgelu ei fodel anhygoel o’r Bont. Roedd yn wych gweld y Ganolfan mor llawn.

And that's a rap for the Summer season here at the Museum. We will still accomodate group visits over the winter by prior arrangement.
We start our Autumn Evening Lecture Series on 30th September with an exciting programme. But for now, thank you to everyone who has visited us, joined in the Bicentenary celebrations and supported us - it truly has been an amazing summer.

A dyna tymor yr Hâf wedi dod i ben yma yn yr Amgueddfa.
Byddwn yn parhau i dderbyn grwpiau o ymwelwyr drwy trefniant flaen llaw dros y gaeaf.
Byddwn yn cychwyn ein cyfres o Ddarlithoedd yr Hydref ar y 30ain o Fedi gyda rhaglen cyffroes iawn. Ond, am rwan gawn ni ddiolch i bawb sydd wedi ymweld â ni, chyfrannu a chefnogi'r amgueddfa-mai wir wedi bod yn Hâf arbennig iawn.
