Congratulations to Lynn Stuart for a great afternoon launching her excellent exhibition and our new changing exhibition space.

Lots of red dots - due to the quality , authenticity and originality of her work and not to her very generous supply of food and fizz! Congratulations Lynn!

A special thank you also to Tina and to LBS Milford Haven for providing the materials. And to Pete Hughes and Andrew Phillips who gave up 2 Sundays to construct our new exhibition area.

Lynn’s exhibition continues until the end of May and throughout the month the gallery is open Monday to Saturday 10.30-4.00.

You’re warmly invited ✨
Join us this afternoon to celebrate the opening of Hubberston Girls — a deeply personal new exhibition by Lynn Stuart.
📅 Today, Thursday 14th May
🕒 3:00 – 6:00pm
📍 Waterfront Gallery, Milford Haven Marina

Hubberston Girls is a deeply personal series of works drawn and painted on brown paper, reflecting on life growing up on a council estate. The choice of material recalls lunch bags and magazines wrapped in paper—everyday objects that carry memory and meaning. Once oiled, the paper becomes semi-transparent, allowing paint to be applied to the reverse, creating layered, intimate imagery.

Pop into the gallery and see our wonderful new exhibition. We’re open throughout May Monday to Saturday 10.30-4.00. 🎨

The exhibition includes works depicting:

- The 3½-mile round trip walk from Hubberston to the pool on the Rath, with a pause to rest nearby
- Nana and Gaga, marked by the absence of an arm lost in a train accident
- Pill Beach, capturing the innocence of a day spent among concrete walls and heavy pebbles
- Running the Gauntlett
- The Final Church Trip to Tenby, where a vicar intervenes just in time after a childhood climb gone wrong

Through these works, Lynn explores the textures of memory - moments of joy and family life.

Lynn Stuart studied at Pembrokeshire Art College, Carmarthen, and Maine College of Art, USA.
Her recent exhibitions include:
- Museum of Modern Art Wales
- Here Be Dragons, Mid Wales Collective (2025)
- North Wales Open, Theatre Clwyd, Mold (2025–26)
- Dallas Centre for Contemporary Art, Texas

The Waterfront Gallery welcomes Philippa Sibert to our collective. View her work Wednesday to Saturday 10.30-4.00.

🌿 “The Celtic tradition invites us to look with the inner eye.”

Born in England and shaped by a childhood in Harare, Zimbabwe, my creative journey has always been rooted in movement, contrast, and discovery. I am now based in Haverfordwest, West Wales, where the landscape continues to influence and inspire my work.

I began my career as a window dresser in the 1970s, developing an early sensitivity to composition, storytelling, and visual rhythm. This foundation later led me to study Fine Art at the University of the Creative Arts, culminating in an MA in Fine Art from Aberystwyth School of Art in 2009.

My practice is multidisciplinary, driven by the belief that anything and everything holds creative potential. Curiosity sits at the heart of what I do—an inquisitive approach that continually opens pathways to new discoveries and fresh ideas.
