There will be increased footfall and limited parking on the estate in the morning. The roads around the estate will also be busier due to the cycling section of the event.

Book a tour and join our costumed guides on a journey through life above and below stairs on a Scottish country estate.

Then take a peaceful walk through autumn leaves, discovering gentle woodland trails and spectacular views across the Montrose Basin, with plenty of space for everyone to explore.

Enjoy some time out in the formal gardens, carefully restored by the Trust to Lady Augusta’s original 1840s design.

Warm up afterwards in Erskine’s Café with our friendly team rustling up fresh lunches, home-baked treats and speciality coffees.

In the courtyard, the free Angus Folk Collection contains many items showcasing rural life over the centuries. Our shop is packed with Scottish gifts for all the family, while the Angus Creatives pop-up on selected weekends is a changing showcase of work from local artists and makers.

🕙 The house tours, formal gardens, Angus Folk Collection, shop and café are open Wednesday to Sunday until 1 November, then Thursday to Sunday over winter. The estate is open daily from dawn to dusk all year round.

At NTS House of Dun on Violet Jacob's 163rd Birthday, singer Hannah Rarity stars as Violet Jacob along with the pupils from local Angus schools in a new film version of Violet's much loved song 'Hallowe'en'. Made for schools by Kieran McLaughlin and his crew and by Matthew F**t for Scots Hoose Yaldi and Scottish Book Trust. 27th September House of Dun Duathlon

🚨🚨 HOUSE OF DUN DUATHLON 2026 🚨🚨

🚨🚨 NEW INTERCLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 🚨🚨

We’re pleased to announce that have additional silverware up for grabs in addition to the normal categories, we are running an Interclub Championship, this is open to all members of Triathlon Scotland Affiliated Clubs with the winning club taking home the trophy/shield for the year.

For clubs to be eligible to take part, all that is required is to have a minimum of 2 members entered individually and taking part on the day with each club’s 2 highest placed finishers in their respective categories scoring points towards winning the trophy.

Obviously the more members of your club who enter, the better your chances of taking the trophy home to your own club!

So take the chance to get your entries in on EntryCentral and please feel free to share the news with any friends you may have at other clubs (no special team entry is needed, just inform registration on the day which club you are representing).

Grab the chance to finish the season on a high and have the chance to have your clubs name be the first to be engraved on the trophy.

☕ We're seeing more and more familiar faces at Erskine's Café at House of Dun, whether you're meeting friends, entertaining visiting family, or treating yourself to a coffee and something sweet.

🕒 Open Wednesday-Sunday, 10.30am-4.30pm (last orders at 4).

Enjoy a warm welcome from our team, serving speciality coffees, fresh baking, homemade scones and tempting lunches in the Old Stables or outside on the lawn. Tuck into daily specials such as packed toasties and the quick-to-sell-out salted caramel drip cake.

Meanwhile, the beautiful gardens and woodland trails, free Angus Folk Collection and weekend Angus Creatives pop-up gallery mean there's always something new to enjoy.
