I have always enjoyed painting, but I have got more serious in recent years. I particularly enjoy watercolour landscapes and townscapes, obtaining inspiration from the Pennine moors, villages, towns and the effects of the Pennine weather on these areas.

For my workshop on 10th June, we will explore various expressive watercolour techniques:
• Wet-on-Wet
• Dry Brush
• Lifting-Off Paint
We will also cover paper selection, brushes, composition, paint and colour mixing. We will start with some basic technique exercises which can then be utilised in a seascape painting using an image of Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire as reference.
My intention is to provide an enjoyable experience and helping you lose to fear of experimenting.
