y is not just remembered; it's relived. We are currently closed while the Fort undergoes a £7.5 million restoration, reopening in spring 2025. Our restoration will unveil a vibrant tapestry of stories, inviting visitors to explore the rich social history of Sussex. Marvel at panoramic views, delve into captivating exhibitions and let the kids play in our new adventure playground. Visitors can enjoy local food and drink at our café and explore our new gift shop. Dogs are welcome and parking on site is free.

We have our lovely cool Eastern Mag to explore, there’s a nice sea breeze up on the ramparts as well as a stunning view!
We have also opened our lovely cool Ardagh room for visitors to escape from the heat to eat their picnics or just take a break!
Cadence have a great selection of ice creams and cold drinks too! ☀️
