Newtown Textile Museum We reopen on 28 April 2026 and will be open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday until the end of October.Our opening times are 12.00-16.00pm.

Find out more about us at www.newtowntextilemuseum.co.uk The museum is run entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers. There is a lot of local support for this museum which promotes the social and industrial history of Newtown, which has been linked with wool and textiles for centuries. We are open from Spring to Autumn.

We're just days away from the The Wool and Willow Festival opening at Minerva Arts Centre on Saturday 30th May. It's the 20th year of this event celebrating a passion for, and products focusing on wool, willow and natural fibres.

Very excitingly, this years exhibition will also feature the The Community Shawl Project - A project that celebrates women by amplifying their voices creating spaces for creativity and connection - we can't wait to see it!
