Well today was a good day! Day two at the beautiful Victoria Baths Manchester for GNCCF. I was overwhelmed to have been awarded the The Design Trust / Patricia van den Akker award for ‘most promising maker’ which is such an incredible prize! Thank you so much to Patricia and Ann-Marie, you completely made my day 🥰

The Great North Contemporary Craft Fair is on for one more day 10-4pm Sunday 18th October, the work is incredible, the venue is incredible, don’t miss it!

All set up in this incredible venue! I’ve never been to the Victorian Baths in Manchester before but this place has to be seen to be believed - and that’s before you even start looking at the incredible craft here at Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair. Really excited for the first preview evening tonight from 6-9pm and 10-6pm tomorrow and Saturday and 10-4pm on Sunday!

Some real time carving! I was going to leave the sound on for a bit of satisfying scraping but I’m struggling with a nasty virus at the moment and the sniffing and coughing didn’t add much 🤧🫣 Anyway! Hope you like the finished piece! This and others will be coming to Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair with me next week!!

Fresh from the kiln, a little daydreaming hare! This is the finished platter I showed in my most recent timelapse. I’m so happy with how it came out and it’s always with a huge sigh of happy relief when these large platters come through their final firing in one piece! This one will be coming with me to my next show Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair in a few short weeks! Eeep!

These three are getting their final polish before they and a selection of my other pieces are heading off on an adventure to The Ropewalk Arts Centre for my very first solo exhibition starting at the beginning of October! I’m really excited to see everything come together!

I’m still pinching myself! I honestly never thought I would get my own space, let alone one so beautiful! Thank you to the wonderful Sanctum Garden Studios who were completely amazing from first contact to installation, I couldn’t love it more! It’s so peaceful and calm inside, with amazing light and I can watch the chickens bouncing about in the garden as I work, it’s a dream come true 🥰
…and it’s a good job I love being in here as I’m SO ridiculously busy that now (and for the foreseeable future) I’m in here more than my house 😅
