Phil Daniels Art I first painted properly in 1983, weirdly driven by the cancer diagnosis. My mission - to recreate Constable landscapes perfectly! The Artist was reborn!

Fast Forward through years of senior Sales and Marketing roles, crossing paths with various liars, cheats and narcissists. Eventually I had enough... Well my mind did anyway, in some implosion

kind of way. Teaching myself to create extremely detailed wildlife (to the point of personal perfection) and needing challenges, Landscapes, airbrush techniques, Street Sculptures... all became my focal points. I even turned to writing! An alternate form of creativity. See PhilDanielsAuthor.co.uk

I grew up as a lad with a pony doing gymkhanas and other horsey related events. From Pony Camps to three day events, my mum lived out her own girl hood dreams through me. I think. Bless her.
I was good. I mean really good. With 600 rosettes and boxes of trophies. Of course I enjoyed it (except dressage!), but once I discovered girls, things kinda changed :)
Painting horses in movement is one of the most ridiculously hard things to do. This loose oil sketch (original was 10" x 8") was one of my better attempts. Overall it works well and I think captures the animal correctly.

Its turned a little warmer... but barely enough to drag a hermit artist out the door!
But this morning I saw the Blue T**s checking out their box. In January 🤔
They always flit from box to box, but choose the same one every year. I imagine her nagging, like a woman dress shopping all day, eventually deciding on the first one she tried 😂
Although its a little concerning, the way our weather is. It's likely to turn much colder for weeks yet. Still, if there is one thing I've learnt through all my years... The woman knows best.

Before the rather ignorant Victorians introduced the Grey Squirrel, 'To add attraction to London Parks', our native Red ruled the ancient woodland tree tops.
Now decimated by the Pox disease Grey's carry, and their greater size and dominance, the Red is only found in isolated pockets of our Nations.
Fortunately the reintroduction/support of our native Pine Marten is pushing back on the Grey's, allowing Red's to spread and thrive.
If you are lucky enough to capture a 'Fleeting Glimpse' of our most beautiful woodland occupant, then you are blessed.

The youthful dreams filled her mind, that pony of her own.
In so many ways, it's all she'd ever known.
From story books and cuddly toys, the begging everyday,
and promises to muck it out, fresh water, and the hay.
But circumstances and poverty, left her unfulfilled,
dreams faded into womanhood, and the family she'd build.
A daughter raised on well thumbed books and tattered cuddly toys,
Eventually the Young Girls Dream lived on in long shared joys.
