Born in Aldershot, Hampshire, England in 1955, Nigel Carder rapidly developed his skill of drawing and painting throughout his childhood and into his adult years. In 1975, to fulfill his desire to broaden his Artistic ability, , Nigel began a 4 year course in Vocational Design at the Norwich School of Art, consequently gaining The East Anglian Certificate of Art and Design in
1978 and The Diploma
of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers in 1979. The year following, Nigel began work within the Textile industry as a Designer / Illustrator after which, in 1982, he launched himself as a Freelance Artist, enabling him to channel all his creativity into his own Artwork and Business. His precise and highly individual original Pen, Ink and Pencil Drawings, involving many hours of patient and detailed work have enabled Nigel to capture Landscapes, Seascapes and architectural scenes to great effect. The Artist uses his Ink Pens to create textures through a mixture of an Art term called Pointilism and Crosshatching and finally, by Pencil, a delicate introduction of Colour is achieved. Currently residing in Norwich, England, his enthusiasm for his work is very much in evidence as is his policy of sustaining high quality and craftmanship - a combination that will be to the Artist, a life long occupation ! Today, the Artist produces and sells Fine Art Prints taken from many of his most successful Works and most importantly, Nigel will always uphold his conviction that The God of the Bible has given him the Talent to reflect Gods glory and wonder of His creation and the credit only God deserves !
