‼️UPDATE AND AWARENESS NOTICE‼️
Unfortunately, we have some disappointing news to share regarding our Sneinton Market music shop.
Following a theft from the shop last Friday, 2nd October, which you can see in the CCTV footage accompanying this post, we have made the difficult decision to close our Sneinton store and bring forward our plans for a larger music shop in Mansfield. Sherwood Phoenix Pianos
📍 Sherwood Phoenix, Rosemary Street, Mansfield, NG18 1RB
First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us in Sneinton. ❤️
The shop has been a fantastic experience, and we’ve met so many lovely customers, musicians and members of the local community since opening.
Sneinton was always intended to be a temporary store and a test for a much larger music shop, which we had originally planned to open in 2027. Unfortunately, following the recent theft, we’ve decided the right thing for our small business is to bring those plans forward.
As a small independent business, incidents like this have a very real impact on us, so we’re sure you’ll understand our decision.
But there is some very good news. 🎸🎹🥁
Our new Mansfield music shop will be considerably larger, allowing us to offer a much wider selection of instruments and equipment, longer opening hours and a better overall shopping experience.
We’ll be open Monday–Saturday, with free customer parking, more stock and a bigger, more secure premises.
We appreciate that Mansfield is further from Nottingham city centre, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience. For everyday music needs in Nottingham, we’d also encourage you to support The Music Inn and other independent music businesses in the city.
We really hope we’ll see many of the familiar faces we’ve met in Sneinton when the new shop opens in Mansfield.
This isn’t quite how we expected the Sneinton chapter to end, but we’re incredibly excited about what comes next.
A bigger shop. More instruments. More choice. Same independent business.
More details coming very soon. ❤️
