Life drawing with HOP is back Thursday 11th June, 6pm Gallery Oldham.

Create & connect at our relaxed arty socials! We celebrate the human form in all its glory, whether you’re an experienced artist or trying it for the first time. It’s a laid-back, creative escape for your mind and soul.

Can’t draw? No worries! There are no rules here, stick figures, abstract shapes, or perfectly proportioned sketches, everything’s welcome.

The date mentioned in our HLA brochure has been updated. Illustrator Sharon Davey will be presenting a talk at the Gallery, discussing her journey as an illustrator and showcasing her artwork included in the Once Upon A Time exhibition.

Don't miss the latest in our free series of Gallery talks with artist Sophie Tyrrell as she introduces some of the characters in her installation piece based around Oldham Wakes in Gallery 2.

Tactile and colourful, enjoy the spectacle of a parade with a rushcart pulled by a Bison, carrying Starling boy and headed up by Four Horses depicting the seasons.

Learn about Sophie's practice and her approach to this exhibition.

We spent the afternoon exploring nature with Gillian Flint - drawing characters and animals from the latest book in the Woodland Explorers Club series (Trix's Tree House) released earlier this month. Taking inspiration from the seasonal traditions of Old Lancashire holiday festivals, rush carts and processions, Gallery 2 is currently populated with a fabulously, colourful, handmade carnival installation.

Our amazing Early Years families have been busy helping us build our brand-new Nature Gallery, Our Beautiful Oldham. They've been checking the build quality, testing out interactive ideas and even making sure our designers, Creative Core, use sustainable materials 💚

We can’t wait to welcome you into this new space when it opens this summer!
