We’re making the final preparations for a fantastic weekend event as Wansford recreates the long-lost days of vintage and classic traction!

✨ Attractions include:
• Steam train and Swedish Railcar services
• Miniature railway rides and locomotives on display
• Miniature Railway Shop with vintage-style models including Lledo, Trackside and more
• Miniature traction engines, plus a full-size Fowler Ploughing Engine and Ruston & Hornsby Traction Engine
• Blue Circle running in the yard (traction engine on rails)
• Fairground organ
• Vintage tractors and Green Goddess fire engine
• Classic cars
• Wickham petrol trolley on display
• Pump trolley operating at Wansford
• Platform Bar serving Engine Shed bottled ales (open until 8pm)
• Wansford Garden Railway

🚂Miniature Railway Shop Gets a Makeover👍

Thanks to the volunteers from the NVR Wagon Group, our shop has received a fresh coat of paint and is looking fantastic once again.

The shop has also benefited from a new roof, improved insulation, and a new internal ceiling. This work has all been made possible through ticket sales and purchases from our shop.

🚂 Warship “Daring” on Test

Our Warship Class locomotive Daring took to the Miniature Railway today for testing as we prepare it for passenger service. A few final tweaks are underway, and it’ll soon be ready to welcome riders aboard!

New Locomotive Entering Service This Saturday 🚂

After successful steam testing today, our new locomotive “Maple” will officially enter service this Saturday on the Miniature Railway.
“Maple” is a Sweet Pea design locomotive, originally built in 2008. It arrived at the Miniature Railway last year and is now ready to begin pulling passenger trains. New nameplates are currently being made.

🎫Fare: £1 per person
