We get some really interesting visitors at the museum. Last Open Weekend we had a gentleman called Charlie from Melbourne who'd been involved in the Christmas Island nuclear testing. He was showing one of our volunteers his medal.

Come and visit Aberdeenshire's biggest Railway Museum at Maud; it's open this weekend and there's plenty to see and do - have a trip on the miniature railway, see the model of Maud Station, look at our variety of lamps, check out the memorabilia, take a photo of yourself in one of the Prison Wagon cells, have a chat with our volunteers about the history of Maud or even drive a train from Aberdeen to Peterhead via Maud on our Simulator; and did you know we are on TikTok too? Open Sat 22 and Sun 23 August. 1030-1600.
