The Heritage Park, Pitstone Museum

The Heritage Park, Pitstone Museum Step into the past at our Heritage Park & Museum! With 40+ attractions lovingly maintained by volunteers, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Come explore history with us! We have over 40 attractions from model railways to a working Blacksmith, from farm machinery to classic vehicles, from a huge working Rack Saw to a 28l Crossley Gas Engine. Try your hand at pottery or lace making, or take a tractor ride to the windmill. We are open 9 times a year with approx. 50 volunteers on hand to help, explain and educate visitors to get the most

out of their day.

- Open the Second Sunday each month & Bank Holiday Mondays
- Refreshments are on sale all day
- Craft & Trades stalls
- Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome
- Free parking in the Orchards
- Disabled access toilets

Whitchurch Morris are a local Morris dancing side from Aylesbury Vale who have been performing the tradition since 1948. With decades of experience, they bring the energy, and plenty of entertainment wherever they go.

We’re pleased to welcome Denis Myers, an excellent speaker and regular Museum volunteer, for a fascinating and engaging talk on the Pinkerton’s Detective Agency.

Denis will share gripping wartime detective stories alongside the history of the Pinkerton’s Agency, from its 19th-century origins protecting U.S. railways to the evolution of modern criminal detection. Drawing on his career with the Independent Police Complaints Commission, Denis offers a frank, behind-the-scenes perspective - all delivered in a light-hearted, incisive style.

Enjoy an hour or so of short vintage films, carefully selected from Colin’s extensive reel-to-reel archive. These fascinating glimpses into the past may include:
- An American view of quirky Buckinghamshire
- Aldbury school pupils talking in the early 1960s
- A classic Massey Ferguson tractor sales pitch
- Frank Banfield’s own view of Pitstone in 1963
