10 years ago today we visited Wembley, and in all honesty after the high of the semi final against Pompey, this was very much a case of after the Lord Mayor's show. Here are some of the 34000 Argyle fans that attended and witnessed a 2-0 defeat.

A minute's applause for the late Charlie Trevethan.

The club have kindly agreed to put Charlie's photo on the big screen in the 25th minute at Saturday's match so that we can partake in a minute's applause for him. The 25th minute depicts his year of birth of 1925. We'd need 10 minutes of added time to do it on his age.
Please spread it far and wide. Thanks.

You can now show your support for the Argyle Archive by joining our members club. Joining the club will help support our work preserving, protecting and displaying Argyles history for the future.

The Argyle Archive is supported with funding from Argyle, but we also need your help. Our costs include storage, websites (both the Archive and Greens on Screen) and insurance. Finances are also needed to modernise the code and secure the future of Greens on Screen.

We also need funds to purchase important items of club memorabilia and heritage when they become available. Your support will also help us to arrange more displays and exhibitions that will allow supporters to experience more of our heritage.

It was a pleasure to put on a display for the Wembley heroes of 1996 at their Forever Green 30 year reunion last Friday evening. Delighted they were all present at Home Park on Saturday to witness Argyle's 3-1 win over Huddersfield. Let's hope the current crop can emulate them.

One of the items in our new display at Home Park Stadium was 100 years old this week! Jack Pullen won his only cap for Wales in a 3-1 win against England at Selhurst Park. He played alongside fellow Pilgrim Moses Russell on 1 March 1926.

We had a busy afternoon in Club Argyle yesterday putting a display in the cabinet kindly provided by Plymouth Argyle Football Club's 50/50 lottery. It gives us the chance to display some of the many items we have in storage. We hope to have it complete in time for the Cardiff match on Saturday.

Match page - Leyton Orient

Last night's 3-1 win puts us 3rd in the away league table with only the top two teams in the league, Cardiff and Lincoln, above us. Even then they've only won 7 away games where as we've won 8. If only our home form was similar. We have a tough test on Saturday when Cardiff visit Home Park but I'm sure the lads will be up for it. The match page is now published thanks to Keith who also uploaded the audios. Thanks also to Gill who uploaded 64 photos on her return in the middle of the night, getting to bed at 5.30am. That's dedication.

GoS Team Photos Get a Facelift

Internet oldies might remember the Semper Viridis website, which was inherited by Greens on Screen nearly 20 years ago. That included a large number of team photos, which have remained on GoS, largely untouched, until now. It was always Steve Dean’s intention to give them a makeover, and at long last, after 6 months of hard work on 166 images, the changes are complete. The team photo pages for every one of Argyle’s 114 professional seasons since 1903, and some amateur years before, have been revised to include larger, better quality images, and improved captions. Just to add that Steve is still working on getting the players' forenames added for all seasons, and that'll be complete in the next few weeks, and to ask that if you spot any oddities, please shout! A couple of examples are shown here but a link to the full photo index can be found here under What's New:
