A new book "Argyle's Golden Era" has just been published. Written by Argyle Archive member and Season Ticket holder Mike Rundle it covers the winning of the Third Division (South) championship in 1951/2 and Argyle's joint highest ever finish (4th) in the Second Division in 1952/3.

It contains match by match coverage of both seasons and is lavishly illustrated with photographs, programme covers, trade cards and autographs.
A Kindle version is already available from the Amazon web-site and print versions will shortly be on sale by Amazon and Waterstones.

Mike intends to donate the proceeds of sales to the Plymouth Argyle Heritage Archive to support the excellent work they do with the Argyle Archive and Greens on Screen. Fans with an interest in Argyle's history might find it of interest. COYG!

We were saddened to hear of the passing of former Pilgrim Alan Banks. "Banksy" played 20 games for Argyle between August 1966 and October 1967, scoring 5 goals. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP Banksy.

There is a slight delay in getting Greens on Screen back on line. Here is the latest from the hosting company:

We apologise for the delay and appreciate your patience. Most services are now online following the migration of services from our North Wales data centre (DC8) to Maidenhead (DC5); however, a small number of services are taking longer than anticipated to bring back online.
To ensure these remaining services are restored safely and reliably, the maintenance window has now been extended until 14:30.

The Greens on Screen hosting company have advised us that the GoS website will be migrated from their North Wales data centre to their Maidenhead data centre as part of scheduled maintenance on Friday, 19th June 2026, starting at 8:00pm.

During this planned migration window, the website will be temporarily offline. They expect services to be restored by 11:00am on Saturday, 20th June 2026.

10 years ago today we visited Wembley, and in all honesty after the high of the semi final against Pompey, this was very much a case of after the Lord Mayor's show. Here are some of the 34000 Argyle fans that attended and witnessed a 2-0 defeat.

A minute's applause for the late Charlie Trevethan.

The club have kindly agreed to put Charlie's photo on the big screen in the 25th minute at Saturday's match so that we can partake in a minute's applause for him. The 25th minute depicts his year of birth of 1925. We'd need 10 minutes of added time to do it on his age.
