At a loss of somewhere different to take your husband, father or grandfather this coming Father’s Day?
Did any of them work or admire British engineering or just like mechanical contraptions?
If the answer is yes to any of the above the Anson Engine Museum is the place to visit this coming Sunday.
There’s plenty of British engineering (and a few non British) products that once where exported all over the world, the “Third” diesel engine to be built in the world a Mirrlees and an impressive display of Gardner engines, these once powered nearly every bus and lorry in the UK!
The steam engines will be running ( except the Stott)
There’s also the relocated Welsh workshop that was officially opened the other week by the Hall family who donated it to the Anson to preserve there fathers creation.
We open at 1000 hrs untill 1600ish.
