I think the Piece Hall in Halifax is one of the most amazing buildings in Yorkshire. It opened in 1779 comprising 315 rooms, in one of which is the Yorkshire Gallery, inside of which is this picture. It’s a hard subject to paint but so fascinating that I keep coming back to it.
