Jane's Historical Kitchen and her team were at West Horsley Place yesterday where they presented a Regency Afternoon Tea.

Available for sampling where, Chicken Curry, Hot Chocolate, Pheasant, Chocolate Meringue Tarts, Churned Butter, Seed Bread, Lemon Tarts, Syllabub, Jumbles, Chocolate Puffs and Gunpowder Green Tea. All taken from original recipes of the period.

In use for the first time was the latest addition to the kitchen the mobile 'range'. This is an idea Jane has worked on for several months for indoor presentations where she is unable to cook on an open fire. For some time the indoor kitchen has been unable to generate the 'smells' of fresh cooking. All changed now with the range that runs off a standard 13amp electric supply. Another first for Jane's Historical Kitchen.

As a footnote Jane also made all the girls costumes for the event.
