St Martin's Gallery

St Martin's Gallery St Martins Gallery is a unique venue offering a vast selection of artwork, original oils, prints, collectable bears, glassware and jewellery

Built in 1654, the early Post Reformation Church of St Martins was first restored in 1832 after partially being destroyed by fire. It was deconsecrated in 1986 and fell derelict before being privately bought by its present owner. She lovingly restored the ancient building in 1998, simultaneously converting it into an art gallery for interior accessories whilst retaining the original altar, font an

d organ in the design. With its new role, the building now plays host to a vast and continually changing exhibition of local and international art and craft. With many unique pieces, artists work ranging from original and limited edition paintings and prints to a spectacular selection of silk flowers and arrangements. In addition to this, the gallery also houses an extensive collection of jewellery, glassware, pottery, ceramics, sculptures (wood and stone) and furniture ably guarded by a veritable army of limited edition teddies and gollies all of which goes to make St Martins one of the most visited Art and Craft Centres on the south coast.
