🎉 Come and see one of the spectacular Alban Day puppets on our balcony at St Albans Museum + Gallery this Saturday 20 June. A 12‑foot puppet will help bring the story of St Alban to life as the festival takes over the city.

Alban Day takes place between 10am - 4pm. The Alban Pilgrimage Procession begins at 11am.

Today’s the St Albans Half Marathon - good luck to all runners! A reminder that Verulamium Museum is open from 10am as usual, but road access will be limited this morning, with closures in place until around 12:30.

This means:
👉 Limited access via Verulam Road/Branch Road → St Michael’s Street (marshals will help when safe).
👉 You can park in the city centre and walk down.

Have you visited Draw with Rob yet? ✏️ One of our favourite parts of the exhibition is seeing Rob Biddulph original Post-it note drawings – the very first ones he created for his daughter’s lunchbox. Here he is in front of that first set, with nearly 1,300 in total to discover!

We’ve loved seeing all your photos from the exhibition so far, and we’re excited to welcome Rob back tomorrow for the sold out drawalong event! 🎨

⚠️ This Sunday (14 June) it’s the St Albans Half Marathon.
Verulamium Museum will be open as usual from 10am, but roads around the Museum and Verulamium Park will be closed or restricted until around 12:30.

If you're planning a visit:
👉 Limited vehicle access via A5183/Verulam Road → Branch Road → St Michael’s Street (marshals will allow entry when safe).
👉 Verulamium car park is open for visitors or park in the city centre and walk down.

Be part of a new mural for St Albans! 🎨Work with artist Aisha Adi and the Black History Research Group to help shape a new mural based on the theme of Honouring our Communities.

Share ideas, sketches and inspiration in this free drop-in workshop.

The finished mural will be displayed on the railings of St Albans Museum + Gallery October-November 2026.

Led by an experienced tutor, this relaxed, beginner-friendly session will guide you from your first pen strokes through to creating your own finished piece. All materials are included.
