Ordsall Hall is a historic house museum and garden, wedding and meeting venue dating back over 820 years. We are near to Salford Quays and Manchester City Centre and are open to visit from Monday - Thursday and Sunday afternoons. Throughout history the Hall has been put to many uses - a family home, working men's club and church hall. The most important period of its life is undoubtedly as the fam

ily seat of the Radclyffe family who resided here for over 300 of those years. We re-opened in 2011 after a 2 year conservation and restoration project.

We thought tulip season was our favourite, but these Oxeye Daisies are making us rethink 🤩

We left the edges of our lawn to grow wildly during and the wildlife has thanked us - we've seen bees and insects galore 🐝. Not to mention how fun it is for little feet to explore between the grasses - any excuse to add a bit of to our gardens!

Barn update: If you're visiting in the next couple of weeks please know we've not lost the plot!

The tarmac you can currently see around our beautiful barn is a necessity and not a feature! It's been poured to level the ground, and will soon be covered with the resin-bound gravel and paving that surrounds the rest of the Hall. Before long it'll feel like this beautiful structure has always been here, especially once our head gardener Jo has worked her planting magic around the edges ✨🌿🌺

Fancy a low sew workshop perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike?

Join Christine Sherburne and try your hand at a variety of textile based crafts, using re-worn materials, just for fun. There will be a selection of activities on offer including: fabric weaving, embellishment making as well as the chance to make your own home décor by mounting fabric onto canvas.

This will be a relaxed, easy afternoon where play is encouraged. Christine will be on hand to offer guidance and ideas.
