About us
The Home is a leading lifestyle store and part of the renowned Salts Mill at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Saltaire. We are proud to represent the most prestigious homeware and furniture brands from across the globe, of our presentation and customer service.
We are looking for someone to join our small, passionate, hands-on team who can work closely with the manager to uphold our high customer service and store standards. The successful candidate will also be responsible for stock control and organisation. An interest in the homewares sector is expected.
28 - 35 hours per week including weekend work.
Objectives
• To work with and support the store manager on a day-to-day basis
• To oversee store operations in the absence of the manager
• To manage deliveries, maintain an organised stock room and back-office EPOS system
• To ensure excellence in customer service
Duties & Responsibilities
• Operating the store in the absence of the manager - open / close procedures, assist and direct colleagues, liaise with customers, deal with atypical events
• Liaise with the manager in a professional manner
• Organise processing of deliveries – unpacking, updating back-office EPOS system, storing stock
• Maintain a clean and organised stock room
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the products we sell to enhance the high service standards we expect to provide to customers
• Disseminate information to colleagues relevant to the day’s trading
• Working with colleagues in all usual aspects of a retail environment
• Give advice and assistance to enhance customer experience
Job Type: Permanent, 28 – 35 hours p/w
Salary: £13.21 - £13.53 hour
