The National Poo Museum

The National Poo Museum The National Poo Museum is the brainchild of inventor Daniel Roberts. He came up with the idea whilst walking in the countryside of his homeland Sweden.

Daniel noticed how wonderfully fascinated people of all ages where when he showed them some elk droppings he had found on his walk, "they seemed much more interested in the poo than the actual animal" noticed Dan. This give hims an idea. On his return to the UK he gathered together his artist friends from the arts collective called Eccleston George of which he is a member, and explained that he wa

nted to create the worlds first museum dedicated to the subject of poo! He then negotiated a 'poo deal' with the Isle of Wight Zoo.....some exotic poo for first exhibiting of the poo displays he makes. And so The National Poo Museum was born and is now under way with its inaugural exhibition called Poo @ The Zoo. You can see at starting this Easter 2016 at the Isle of Wight Zoo UK.

Our full, official objection to Southern Water’s proposed wastewater recycling plant in Sandown, Isle of Wight is now live on our website.

Our document sets out key missing information, providing a more complete and balanced picture of Southern Water’s planning application proposal.

The National Poo Museum exists to highlight interesting and important issues connected with poo. We have worked with Southern Water for several years to help share messages about what is and isn’t ok for people to put into the public foul sewer system and we have devoted a section of our exhibitio...

Over 1.5 million children across the UK are living with a bowel or bladder condition and ERIC is here to support these children and their families in their time of need.

Our services offer a lifeline for these families. With demand for our services being higher than ever and a current shortfall in funding, we've launched a Summer Appeal to raise funds so that we can keep these vital services running.

8-year-old Katie, who has struggled with a bowel condition since she was a baby, is just one of the children ERIC supports. Sadly, she spent a lot of her early years in hospital, missing out on school and special childhood experiences. "Often, Katie just wasn’t well enough to be in school. By age 6, she was in hospital every four to six weeks", said Katie's mum, Kelly.

Kelly continues: "Over the years, I contacted ERIC many times. When we decided on colostomy surgery, ERIC advised what questions to ask the professionals, on things like the type of stoma and bag, medication regimes and Katie’s wellbeing. Having ERIC there to advise me or explain things that I hadn’t properly understood was absolutely fantastic."

We are very grateful to Katie, Kelly and TV star Mollie Pearce, who also has a stoma, for bravely sharing their journeys to raise awareness - and much needed funds - for our charity.

To find out more about Katie's story and support our appeal, visit our website: https://eric.org.uk/eric-summer-appeal/

Please share as widely as you can. With your help, we can ensure children like Katie don't suffer in silence.
