After successful launches at Skipton Town Hall and the Mercer Art Gallery, the exhibitions team are now working on the final exhibition installs at Scarborough Art Gallery and Woodend for Aesthetica Art Prize 20: Defining the Future of Contemporary.

Part III: Intervention opens on 16th May at Scarborough Art Gallery, alongside Part IV: Transformation, opening the same day at Woodend Gallery.

Working in partnership with North Yorkshire Council, collections from Scarborough Art Gallery, Rotunda Museum, Craven Museum in Skipton, and the Mercer Art Gallery were transformed into accessible learning resources through a dedicated website - helping more people connect with local heritage.

To make way for the next exhibition, Aesthetica Art Prize 20, at the Art Gallery, the Grimshaws have found a new home upstairs on the first floor.

We waved goodbye to the Harrogate Grimshaws this week, but the five Scarborough works are staying put and remain on display for you to enjoy.

Sitwell Nibbles Café is open tomorrow, 10am–3pm, serving hot drinks, sweet treats and a little slice of peace and quiet. Chris will be ready to welcome you and help you start the weekend right.

Join Dr Liam Herringshaw aka Fossiliam for a dinosaur footprint hunt along Scarborough South Bay.

Every explorer will receive their very own Dino Hunt Activity Bag, included with their ticket, packed with everything you’ll need for the adventure: a map and trail clues, compass, magnifying glass, plus colouring pencils and a notepad.
