We’ve been welcoming new ranges and seasonal favourites, with beautiful woollen textiles, dried flowers, handcrafted notebooks, locally inspired books, candles and more.

Rich colours, natural materials and plenty of wonderful craftsmanship – perfect for a little autumn treat, a thoughtful gift, or simply some inspiration for the season ahead.

🧵 Coming to Farfield Mill in 2027 – the only UK venue! 🧵

We’re delighted to share the winners and finalists of the International Habitat Competition, organised by Carrefour Européen du Patchwork.

🏆 Congratulations to Hwakyung Lee (South Korea), winner of the Grand Prix / Best in Show with La forêt en lumière, and to all 30 finalists whose textile works explore what it means to inhabit.

We’re very excited that this international exhibition will be coming to Farfield Mill from 22 February – 22 April 2027, its only UK showing.

A wonderful opportunity to see these remarkable works from textile artists from around the world right here in Sedbergh.

Fancy spending a Friday afternoon getting creative in a friendly and relaxed setting?

Our Community Art Club runs on selected Fridays from 1pm–4pm, with different local artists leading each session and plenty of opportunity to try something new.

The sessions are FREE to attend and are designed to support creativity, wellbeing and connection with others. You don’t need any previous art experience – just come along and have a go!

🧵 Textile Fusion – Dianne Standen
A vibrant exploration of colour, texture and form through contemporary textile art.

🎨 Tumbling Stones, Wiggly Tin – Hilary Grisewood
Atmospheric work inspired by the character, textures and changing landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales.

🪡 Pathways – Contemporary Quilt
An inspiring collection of textile work exploring the theme of pathways in all their many forms.

🐑 Celebrating 25 Years of The Wool Clip at Farfield Mill

We had a wonderful afternoon today opening The Wool Clip – 25 Years in the Making, celebrating an incredible milestone for this talented group of makers.

Founded in 2001, The Wool Clip has spent the past 25 years championing British wool, traditional skills, contemporary craft and the creativity of its members.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening, and to all the Wool Clip members who have brought together such a fantastic exhibition.

Join us at Farfield Mill from 4pm to celebrate the opening of The Wool Clip – 25 Years in the Making, a special exhibition marking 25 years of this talented cooperative of Cumbrian artists and makers.

Enjoy refreshments, meet the artists and explore the creativity, skills and stories behind their work, with a short welcome at 4.30pm.
