The Shoreham art gallery are proud contributors to the community calendar this year. Featuring stunning scenes around Shoreham, it has raised a record-breaking total for a local charity.
A total of £2,775 was raised for ESTEEM, which offers a supportive space for young adults aged 14 to 26, building their confidence with social, wellbeing and mentoring activities.

We’re really pleased to introduce our guest artist for this month –

Polly is a Sussex-based paper artist who creates beautifully detailed, hand-cut, printed and drawn pieces inspired by the sea and coastal life.

Her work captures everything from boats, wind, tides to the textures and patterns you find along the shoreline.

Alongside her paper cuts, Polly also designs hand-printed fabrics, which she turns into lovely handmade items like purses and small bags - fancy a pink pony club purse? Polly’s got one! (she’s got a blue one as well)

Each design starts as a simple sketch before being carefully cut or drawn by hand, meaning every piece is completely unique.

Before discovering paper cutting, Polly worked in architecture, you can still see that influence in the precision and structure of her designs.
