Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery is owned and operated by Shropshire Council. Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery is located in the 19th century Music Hall and 13th century Vaughan's Mansion, a Grade II* listed medieval merchant's house in the heart of the town. There are five permanent galleries of Shrewsbury and Shropshire history: Roman, Medieval, Tudor, Stuart and Shropshire Gallery and two galleri

es for temporary exhibitions. Cafe, a Visitor Information Centre and a Museum Shop where tickets for our popular Guided Tours and Events can be purchased from. The shop also offers a wide variety of gifts from the Shropshire county. The Museum is accessible throughout the building.

Discover Ludlow: The Pageant, a fascinating exhibition featuring original costumes, historic photographs, film footage and memorabilia from the 1934 Shropshire Historical Pageant and Comus Tercentenary celebrations.

Hosted at Shropshire Museums' Collections Centre in Ludlow – the sister site of Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery – the exhibition reveals how an entire community came together to bring history to life through pageantry, performance and procession.
